POPIA Notice

Purpose of processing

We process personal information to operate a booking and payments marketplace: creating accounts, listing providers, processing bookings, deposits and refunds, verifying provider identity for payments, preventing fraud, and resolving disputes.

Our commitments

We collect the minimum information needed (data minimisation); we obtain explicit consent for sensitive information such as identity documents and any location data; location checks are opt-in, capture a single position at the appointment time only, and never track routes; identity documents are encrypted and access-restricted; we do not sell personal information.

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@getchairside.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) — inforegulator.org.za.
