Acceptable Use Policy

Chairside exists so beauty, grooming and spa professionals get paid fairly and clients get what they booked. This policy sets out what is and isn't allowed on the platform. Breaking it can lead to content removal, trust-score penalties, suspension, or permanent removal.

Permitted use

Chairside may only be used to list, discover, book and pay for lawful beauty, grooming and spa services (and, in future, related products). Every payment processed through Chairside must relate to a genuine service or product delivered through the platform.

Prohibited — accounts & identity

No fake or impersonated identities; no accounts created with another person's details; no multiple accounts to exploit promotions (one account per verified phone number); no misrepresenting qualifications, verification status, or affiliation with a salon.

Prohibited — payments & fraud

No processing payments unrelated to services on the platform; no money laundering, card testing, or use of stolen payment instruments; no taking deposits with no intention to deliver the service; no directing clients off-platform to avoid deposits or fees after using Chairside to win the booking; no payout accounts in someone else's name.

Prohibited — content & conduct

No unlawful, hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit content; no harassment or threats toward clients or professionals; no fake reviews, review manipulation, or bad-faith disputes; no spam; no content that infringes someone else's rights; no photos of clients published without their consent.

Safety

House-call services must respect the safety of both parties. Any behaviour that endangers a client or professional — at a salon or a home visit — results in immediate removal and, where appropriate, referral to authorities.

Enforcement & reporting

We act on reports and on our own monitoring. Depending on severity we may warn, remove content, apply trust-score penalties, withhold settlement pending investigation, suspend, or permanently remove accounts. Report abuse to hello@getchairside.co.za — include the profile or booking reference.
